However it seems that beyond directly exposing abuse and perpetrators of abuse the system wants to ruin their lives, to destroy them. The 'bad luck' and bad outcomes are beyond what the odds are for a person experiencing abuse to end up with.
With all the help out there and recovery it makes no sense. It seems more likely that these victims lives have been methodically and systematically destroyed over time by an organized network that's in place to defend against exposure that's been around for a very long time.
The abuse is so severe and prevelant that the media seems to be more focused on easy to digest issues like #MeToo almost as a diversion from much more shocking or serious issues.
The theory that child stars are targeted individuals makes sense.
